Will the addition of flame retardants affect the color when making flame - retardant corrugated pipes?

Generally speaking, it won't. Currently, the flame-retardant systems of flame-retardant corrugated pipes include several types such as the bromine-antimony system, the phosphorus-nitrogen system, and the composite system. These systems will neither melt nor decompose during the production and processing of flame-retardant corrugated pipes. As long as attention is paid to the dispersion during the processing, the color of the flame-retardant corrugated pipes will not be affected. In addition, we suggest that when purchasing PP flame retardants or flame-retardant masterbatches, those that are off-white or have a whiteness of 92 or above can be selected, and this will basically have no impact on the production of opaque corrugated pipes. 

If making transparent flame-retardant materials, relatively more impacts on the color will occur. It is recommended to select special transparent flame retardants. Manufacturers all have corresponding transparent flame-retardant masterbatches for PP and PE.
