一. Product Overview of Halogen-Free Flame Retardants for PP:
Polypropylene products flame-retardant with this halogen-free flame retardant can achieve UL94-V0 (0.8–3.2 mm), 5VA flame retardancy ratings, and a Glow Wire Ignition Temperature (GWIT) of 850°C; furthermore, they are not subject to the restrictions of Directive 2002/95/EC, “Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment,” adopted by the European Union and its Council; It features low smoke generation and excellent cost-effectiveness.
This halogen-free flame retardant does not cause water slippage during the polypropylene extrusion process.
This halogen-free flame retardant allows flame-retardant polyolefins to be reinforced with materials such as glass fiber, talc, barium sulfate, and silica without discoloration.
Advantages:
This halogen-free flame retardant exhibits excellent resistance to migration and leaching, does not cause blooming, and has a high processing temperature of up to 270°C, meeting the processing temperature requirements of polymers. It is suitable for use in polypropylene and polyethylene.

四、Precautions for Processing PP Flame Retardants:
(1)Extrusion Process Adjustments: First, since the decomposition temperature of this halogen-free flame retardant is approximately 270°C, the processing temperature of the twin-screw extruder should not be set too high. Second, maintaining a certain level of vacuum during extrusion can ensure more stable polypropylene output.
(2) Select appropriate polypropylene raw materials based on the specific requirements of the flame-retardant products, with MFR as the primary indicator, to facilitate extrusion and injection molding.
(3) The formulated system should not contain substances that adversely affect flame retardancy. For example, Cl-containing colorants such as phthalocyanine green can cause flame retardancy to fail; the addition of carbon black, titanium dioxide, or inorganic fillers (such as glass fiber, talc, barium sulfate, etc.) may affect flame retardancy efficiency, so the amount of flame retardant should be adjusted accordingly.
(4) This halogen-free flame retardant does not contain an anti-drip agent. To meet the requirements of different customers, an anti-drip additive should be selected and added during formulation.
五、Packaging and Storage of PP Flame Retardants:
Net weight: 25 kg per bag; paper-plastic composite packaging with a polyethylene inner liner; transport as general chemicals.
Store in a sealed container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
