PE Eco-Friendly Flame-Retardant Masterbatch

PE flame-retardant masterbatch is an additive-type, nano-scale flame-retardant masterbatch that offers excellent processing flow, thermal stability, and light stability. It achieves flame-retardant performance without the need for antimony trioxide and can be directly injection molded into finished products after blending with virgin PE resin.

Due to its fine particle size, it effectively addresses the drawbacks of traditional flame retardants—such as high density resulting from large addition levels, high addition costs, severe deterioration of the physical properties of the finished product, poor compatibility with the resin, and susceptibility to blooming and whitening. It is currently one of the leading flame retardant products for PE on the market.

This product fully complies with EU environmental standards (RoHS) and is free of polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE). PE flame-retardant masterbatches are primarily used for flame retardancy in PE sheets, PE pipes, PE panels, electrical wires and cables, as well as in PE blown film and filament extrusion.

Application Notes: (Recommended Basic Flame-Retardant Formulation)

Recommendations and Precautions:

A. Recommended processing temperatures: LDPE: (180–200°C); HDPE: (190–220°C).

B. Adding 15–20% talc can reduce costs and provide reinforcing effects (Note: The addition rate must not exceed 20%; talc masterbatch yields better results. Under no circumstances should barium sulfate be added, as this will negate the flame-retardant effect!).

C. Since the melting points of different grades of virgin PE vary, the recommended proportion of flame retardant will also differ slightly. If the recommended proportion is exceeded, a higher dosage will actually result in poorer flame retardancy (Note: Only virgin PE must be used; recycled or reclaimed material is not acceptable).

1. Filament Grade:

PE Safety Net Flame Retardant Masterbatch: Low dosage, strong flame retardancy, no broken filaments, and no mesh clogging

2. Extrusion Grade:

PE Waterproof Membrane Flame Retardant Masterbatch: Excellent weather resistance, strong UV resistance, no migration, and good flame retardant dispersion

PE Film Flame Retardant Masterbatch: Excellent dispersion; does not affect film transparency; good compatibility with basic properties such as color strength; eco-friendly grade.

PE Adhesive Tape Flame Retardant Masterbatch: Superior flame retardant dispersion; good adhesion.

PE Corrugated Pipe Flame Retardant Masterbatch: Low loading rate; excellent flame retardant dispersion; high and low temperature resistance; no migration; eco-friendly grade.

PE Cable Conduit Flame Retardant Masterbatch: Low loading rate, excellent flame retardant dispersion, high and low temperature resistance, no migration.

3. Others:

PE Artificial Turf Flame Retardant Masterbatch: Good flame retardancy, low loading rate, excellent compatibility.

★ This product is packaged in 25kg flame-retardant-grade bags and should be stored in a sealed container in a cool, well-ventilated area. Shelf life is one year; transport as non-hazardous goods.
