Should PP or PE raw materials be used to make flame - retardant boards?

The PE plate is a non-toxic, odorless, hygienic and healthy material without corrosiveness. The FDA and USDA allow it to be used in situations where it comes into contact with food and medicine. Its wear resistance and impact resistance are quite good among engineering plastics. It is often used to make workboards, conveying gears, etc. in the beverage and food industry. Without adding colors, PE can be applied as a food-grade plate in the food industry, in which aspect PP has a slight gap. 

However, in terms of hardness, the PP plate is slightly harder than the PE plate. 

In addition, the difficulty of making PE flame-retardant is much greater than that of making PP flame-retardant, and the cost is also increased significantly. Therefore, it is recommended to use the PP plate when both can be used in the working environment.
