The mechanism is that antimony trioxide reacts with bromide compounds and finally thermally decomposes to generate antimony chloride. Antimony chloride can stay in the combustion zone for a long time, isolating the air and thus achieving the flame retardant effect.

Certainly, different flame retardant systems have different addition amounts and impacts on products, and customers should use them as appropriate.
Of course, some customers may also ask whether halogen-free flame retardants can be used for PE flame-retardant pipes. The answer is yes. However, halogen-free flame retardants will basically lead to a decline in the mechanical properties of PE. Moreover, as the addition amount of the flame retardant increases, the mechanical properties of the pipes will decrease significantly. Customers need to consider these factors when using them. Quality should not be reduced just because of cost.
It is recommended to use composite flame retardant masterbatches for PE flame retardant masterbatches used for rattan.
